'Grace' book makes SL news
Publication of "But For the Grace: Profiles in Peace From a Nation at War" was featured in the May 1 edition of the Sri Lanka Daily Mirror, an English-language newspaper with a circulation of 30,000.
Reporter Jennifer Rodrigo interviewed "But For the Grace" author and VeAhavta communications officer James Mitchell for this report via email. The published report offers a flattering view of the Grace Care Center as a place for peace in a region of war.
"But For the Grace" is the story of the orphan children of Grace Home, the elders of Mercy, and their American friends, from its establishment in 2003, through the devastating tsunami the following year, and the tragic return to war within a few years.
We're pleased to see the Grace message of providing a peaceful future for all Sri Lankan children being recognized by that nation's press.
